Have feet, will dance..

Yesterday, on the auspicious "Guru Poornima", my little one started her dance class.. Although I was tempted to wait till "Dushhera / Vijayadashami", she couldn't .. Probably due to peer pressure. Or probably to announce to the world that , well., have feet will dance ! :) all in all, a great experience for me as well as an onlooker as the tiny tots and their didis (older girls in the group) all danced to the perfect rhythm of the 'takita thai thai' ..

also learnt the nuances of 'mudras' (hand gestures) that form an all important part in the 'story telling ' process of Bharatanatyam .. It was fun to watch some of the little ones come dreary eyed (and probably still in their PJs) and perform the steps !
